Rain Rain Stay Some More!
Quick poll:
How many of you love rain? I do. It makes things smell good (unless it's that toxic rain that smells like ass, but I digress). And it's just so peaceful to sit inside and listen to the rain, or sit on the porch if it's not too cold.
Today is a gray, rainy day here. It would be so nice to be at home and working on knitting and drinking hot chocolate. Well, there might be time for that tonight. Hopefully it will still be raining by then!
Which brings me to another point. For those of you in arctic-type cold, let me apologize in advance (I'm talking to you, Joe [Germany], Catlyn [Colorado] and Lori [Alaska]!).
Savannah is already starting to bloom. The Japanese magnolias have already come into full bloom. They're beautiful little trees, with practically no leaves and big pale pink blossoms that almost look like tulips. They bloom early and then the flowers fall off, and they don't do much else the rest of the year. But for about a week, they're just so pretty. :)
It's so nice to see everything starting to turn green again. Ok, greenER. It never actually turns brown and wintery here.
The only drawback to all of this spring beauty and growth?
Mowing.
It won't be long now. :P

oh, score at the salvation army...a full lenght mirror (for some reason, mirrors are at a premium here), two little cups and a framed mission statement that i can use the glass part to replace a missing shelf in the loo...

The sun is shining here. Sky's blue with beautiful, fluffy cotton-ball clounds drifting by. Gorgeous. We've had such springy weather that we have bushes blooming.
But it's all coming to an end. There's a definite nip in the air. Winter ain't over. And, damn, I don't know how to knit. Guess I'll have to write a dissertation instead. :P
